I was called in to create brand identity, signage
and a new web site as well as a communications system
for iTerra. iTerra Communications is a highly innovative
design and manufacturing company specializing in
high-speed electronic components in Palo Alto, California.
As I developed concepts for this client, I focused
on two ideas; the essence of the word terra (a highly
reflective mountainous region of a planet) and the
frequency and amplitude of electromagnetic waves.
The client's only requests were that the new identity should be
visually appealing, memorable, practical, clean, professional and hi-tech. The
new brand identity also had to be easy to implement across a range of
applications, digital media, signage, banners, promotional literature,
stationery and communication systems.
