<p>In this project, fill a layer with cube and vary their texture and color to create a 3D mosaic effect. Using various blending of colors can create a very interesting mosaic texture.</p>
<p><strong>Step 1</strong></p>
<p>Create new a new file with 800&#215;600 with black background by chose file, New (Ctrl/Command+N) from the menu bar to open the New dialog box. Set the Width to 800 pixels and Height to 600 pixels. Set the Resolution to 72 pixels/inch. Be sure to select White background. Click OK</p>
<p><strong>Step 2</strong></p>
<p>Fill Background layer with black using Paint Bucket Tool <img style="border: 1px solid black;" src="http://www.idealpad.com/images/Tutorial/photoshop/c1/images8.gif" alt="" width="26" height="22" /> Choose Filter, Noise, Add noise from the menu bar to open the Noise dialog box. Check the Monochromatic box, check Distribution box, and then set the Amount to 100% and click OK to apply black and white noise to the Background layer. <span id="more-1861"></span></p>

<p><strong>Step 3</strong></p>
<p>Create Mosaic Tiles by choosing Filter, Texture, Patchwork from the menu bar to open the Patchwork dialog box. Choose Square Size to 10 and Relief to 8 and click OK to fill the Background layer with uniform mosaic tiles.</p>

<p><strong>Step 4</strong></p>
<p>Create 3D effect to the tiles by choosing Filter, Stylize, Glowing Edges to open the Glowing Edges dialog box. Choose the setting shown below and click ok.</p>

<p><strong>Step 5</strong></p>
<p>Create a new layer (Shift+Ctrl/Command+N) make sure the foreground color is set to black. Using Paint Bucket Tool fill Layer 1 with black. Then Choose Filter, Render, Difference Clouds from the menu and fill Layer 1 with a cloud pattern.</p>

<p>Open the later Style drop-down list from the upper-left corner of the Layer palette, and click Overlay to apply Layer 1 to Background.</p>
<p><strong>Step 6</strong></p>
<p>Click Layers from the menu bar, New Adjustment Layer, the Gradient Map. The Gradient Map Dialog box will open. Double click on the Gradient Bar ( Under Gradient used for Gray-scale Mapping text ) to open the Gradient Editor dialog box</p>

<p>Click the first gradient preset in the Preset area, then create 3 more colors by clicking under the gradient bar. Then double click on the second stop color and select red, then double click on the third stop and select orange and so on. Once you are done click Ok on the Gradient Editor, then OK on Gradient Map and you are done.</p>
